I studied English at Cambridge and went on to gain MAs in English Literature and Creative Writing from the universities of Liverpool and Exeter. Since then, I have contributed stories and poetry to a variety of publications.
My first book is a work of nonfiction called Down to the River and Up to the Trees, published by HarperCollins UK, which was a winner of the Woodlands Awards 2017 and chosen by broadcaster Chris Packham as one of his books for Christmas. I am currently working on a novel that is set in 1910 and steeped in magic.
I would be delighted to consider fresh writing projects requiring skill, creativity and imagination.
“I’ve known Sue for many years to be a meticulous and creative editor and I am delighted she is now using her creative skills to write as well as edit.”
